Exfoliate to Glow 50ml

Dr Vanita Rattan Exfoliate to Glow (50ml) is a skin brightening and hydrating chemical exfoliator, safe for skin of colour. 5% mandelic acid plus 5% lactic acid with humectants and anti-inflammatories. For normal skin type.

It is strongly recommended to apply Super Hydrating Toner before using this exfoliator.

Once a week application is advised for sensitive skin, twice a week for non-sensitive skin.

Warning: Avoid if you have very dry/sensitive or oily skin, if skin is broken or if you have eczema/rash/spots/rosacea/inflammation. If it stings, please stop use and wash off.

The most common way to exfoliate is to use a physical scrub and to mechanically rip skin cells off. However, this is not limited to just dead skin cells and can lead to skin sensitivity, a damaged skin barrier and micro tears.

A more even, controlled and gentle exfoliation is chemical exfoliation, with large Alpha Hydroxy Acid molecules i.e. Mandelic acid and Lactic acid.

We prefer to avoid Glycolic acid for skin of colour as it is a small molecule and can lead to hot spots.

It is 'NAFE SAFE' to minimise chances of irritation i.e. No Denatured Alcohol, No Fragrance and No Essential Oils. 

Irritation can be more problematic for darker skin tones, and therefore it should be avoided where possible.

For most skin types (normal/dry/combination) & persons over 16 years and over.

Persons with oily skin can also use the range but will be more suited to use the upcoming 'Dr Vanita Rattan Trio Blemish' range for oily/acne prone skin instead
(e.t.a April 2022).

Not for persons with a history of reactions to skincare products or overly sensitive or damaged skin.

Glycerin 7% (humectant-water magnet to hydrate skin)

Centella Asiatica Extract solution (anti inflammatory during chemical exfoliation)

NO FRAGRANCE, NO DENATURED ALCOHOL, NO ESSENTIAL OILS, NO IRRITANTS

STORAGE: STORE IN A COOL, DRY PLACE (ROOM TEMP. OR BELOW). DO NOT REFRIGERATE OR PLACE IN SUNLIGHT.

STEP 4 of 6 (PM Routine). 1-2 times per week.

In the evening, after your Dr. V Super Hydrating Toner, apply 1-2 pumps of Exfoliate to Glow 1-2 nights per week on to normal skin and gently rub in.

Leave it on for 10-20 minutes max. depending on your skin sensitivity, then wash off.

Apply just once per week for sensitive skin, twice per week max. for normal skin.

Follow with Dr V Antioxidant Power Serum (if skin is not sensitive) and Cera Pep Moisturiser after.

Warning: Avoid if you have very dry/sensitive skin, if skin is broken or if you have eczema/rash/spots/rosacea/inflammation. If it stings earlier than 10-20 mins, please wash off immediately.

1. How long would Daily Range products last for?

This will vary for each product and person, however, if usage guidelines are followed, the average duration may be 4-6 weeks approx.

2. Is the Daily Range suitable for pregnancy & breastfeeding?

The range is suitable for pregnancy with the exception of the 'Antioxidant Serum'. If unsure or your circumstances vary, please check with your doctor.

3. Is the Daily Range suitable for all skin types?

It is for most skin types (normal/dry/combination), but not oily skin type.

If using 'Exfoliate to Glow' with sensitive skin, please leave on the skin for less than the standard recommended time i.e. you may need to remove it faster if it tingles/stings sooner.

4. Can this be used after microneedling / cosmetic treatments?

Avoid 'Exfoliate to Glow' for 7 days after all cosmetic treatment procedures.
