Antioxidant Power Serum 30ml

Dr Vanita Rattan Antioxidant Power Serum 30ml (with 0.1% Retinaldehyde and 0.1% Retinol) is a cocktail of 6 Anti oxidants in the therapeutic range for daily use, to mop up free radicals, protect collagen and prevent premature aging, in skin of colour. For normal/dry skin types.

Includes all 3 Vitamin As for the first time (Retinaldehyde, Retinol, Retinyl Palmitate) to maximise anti-ageing benefits.

STEP 5 of 6 (PM Routine). 

Suitable for use around the eye area, ensuring the product does not enter the eye. Wash out immediately if it does.

It is non-comedogenic and 'NAFE SAFE' to minimise chances of irritation: No Denatured Alcohol, No Fragrance and No Essential Oils.

Warning: not to be used if pregnant/breast-feeding.

In skin of colour, we want to minimise irritation to prevent hyperpigmentation. This is why for daily use we prefer skin-identical pH formulas, and why we chose Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), fat soluble Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Co enzyme Q10.

It is 'NAFE SAFE' to minimise chances of irritation i.e. No Denatured Alcohol, No Fragrance and No Essential Oils. 

Also, quite often, anti-oxidants are not packaged or formulated correctly for skin of colour - they are unstable and need to be in an airless, opaque pump in optimal combination to stabilise them. 

For most skin types (normal/dry/combination) & persons over 16 years and over.

Persons with oily skin can also use the range but will be more suited to the 'Dr Vanita Rattan Trio Blemish Range' for oily/acne prone skin.

Not for persons with a history of reactions to skincare products or overly sensitive or damaged skin.

Dr. V Daily Range STEP 5 of 6 (PM Routine).

1. Apply every evening after Super Hydrating Toner, or after Exfoliate to Glow has been washed off (on the 1-2 nights per week the exfoliator is used).
2. Follow with your Cera Pep Moisturiser. 
3. If your skin is sensitive, avoid this serum on the days you apply Exfoliate to Glow.

WHEN STARTING A NEW ROUTINE, PATCH TEST IN A DISCREET AREA AND BUILD UP USAGE GRADUALLY OVER 2-3 WEEKS, ADDING A NEW PRODUCT EVERY 2-3 DAYS SO THE SKIN ADJUSTS.

Warning: In general, only apply the products in this range on normal, clean skin, not if cracked/damaged. In the rare event of skin irritation or an allergic skin reaction, please discontinue use and contact your doctor if required. 

Side effects: very rare but may include temporary redness, dry skin, spots, irritation, or inflammation.

1. How long would Daily Range products last for?

This will vary for each product and person, however, if usage guidelines are followed, the average duration may be 4-6 weeks approx.

2. Is the Daily Range suitable for pregnancy & breastfeeding?

Yes it is suitable with the exception of the 'Antioxidant Serum'. If unsure or your circumstances vary, please check with your doctor.

3. Is the Daily Range suitable for all skin types?

It is for most skin types (normal/dry/combination), but not oily skin type.

4. Can you use the Antioxidant Serum with Dr. V Facial Pigmentation kit / other professional treatments?

It is not necessary to use the Antioxidant Power Serum with the Facial Pigmentation Kit, but you can do if you wish (and your skin can tolerate both without any irritation).

For professional treatments, follow the aftercare provided and allow at least 3 days after full recovery to use the serum.

5. Should I still use Niacinamide, Ceramides, Retinol, Vitamin A/C/E serums from other skincare lines in conjunction with the Dr V Daily Range?

You don't need to use any of the active ingredients above from other products as they are already well represented in the Daily Range.

6. Can I still use Tretinoin with the Dr V Antioxidant Power Serum?

If your skin is not sensitive, it is acceptable to use Tretinoin with the Antioxidant Serum, however we wouldn't recommend it due to the ingredient overlap. Please patch test the products in sequence and should irritation occur, please discontinue layering them.

Tretinoin should not be used with Dr. V Exfoliate to Glow, nor with Dr. V Facial Pigmentation Kit.

It is not permissable to use Isotretinoin/Roaccutane with the Serum or any Dr. V product (6 months gap required).

7. I have never used Vitamin A before, do I need to do anything special to start off with?

As with all treatment products, we advise patch testing first, to ensure there are no skin reactions before proceeding with application to the more prominent areas.

Start with using a very small amount on alternate days only and build up to daily usage gradually.

8. Why is there Citric acid in the Power Serum, I thought Dr V does not like it ?

Citric acid is used in low % as pH buffer, not at high % as an exfoliator (not recommended).

9. Can this product be used after microneedling / cosmetic procedures?

Yes, after any soreness from the microneedling has subsided (1-3 days), all Daily Range products can be used except for the 'Exfoliate to Glow' product.

10. How long does it take to see results, as part of the full daily range?

You may start to notice beneficial effects in as little as 2-4 weeks, however we advise 12 weeks to see the full potential.
